Human multipotent mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC) is the main source of osteoblast regeneration due to their strong self-renewal ability while maintaining their pluripotency. Microarray analysis revealed differential expressed genes among elderly osteoporosis patients (hMSC-OP), elderly wounds of non-osteoporotic (hMSC-old) and middle-aged healthy wounds (hMSC-C), which establish the influence of genetic changes in hMSCs during the development of osteoporosis.
